First he gave us the hamster wheel.....

..... the faster you typed the faster it turned.
Then he confirmed his status as an ARMs dealer.....

..... causing meyhem at all RISC OS shows since.
Now, the USB master, Dave Higton, is back with more technical wizardry.....

..... in the form of an interface to control the Dream Cheeky LED Message Board.
I bought one of these LED devices for £29.99 off Amazon (do a seach on "usb board"), and downloaded Dave's software. CJE Micros also sell all three of these USB devices.
With the LED Message Board plugged into my Iyonix and the software installed, it worked right away. Dave says it also works with a Risc PC via Unipod.
The RISC OS MsgBoasrd software interface makes it easy to change the message, and the speed at which it scrolls. Short words in block capitals work best, such as "NICE ONE DAVE !"

The software is free and open source, and a couple of users have expressed interest in enhancing Dave's initial offering. Dave himself has moved on to look at persuading other USB devices to talk with RISC OS.
