If it's native hardware you seek on which to run RISC OS, keep an eye on ebay. Some of the fastest RISC OS machines are occasionally for sale there such as the Iyonix. New, an Iyonix is from £799.
An Iyonix recently sold for less than half this amount: £325.99. The machine was first bought in 2003, had 512MB of RAM and an 80GB hard drive. It had been kept up to date with all of the recommended Castle Technology hardware modifications applied.
The ebay auction attracted 15 bidders with the price shooting up in the final couple of minutes. Postage added a further £20 to the purchase unless the buyer was willing to journey to Borehamwood in Hartfordshire.
If you're after a similarly priced Iyonix you need to invest more time and effort than you might expect. Would be buyers who searched the auction site under 'RISC OS' failed to locate this machine. Searching under 'Risc OS', however, found it.
This Iyonix is the fourth to be sold on ebay.
